The organic tussar of Mayurbhanj is extremely lightweight and fine. Various tribal motifs are embroidered into these sarees like small geometric buti,flower, deer etc., as the tribals live closely with nature. The black and green color of the saree gives a resemblance of chic to the whole look. To weave a single saree, it takes about ten days. This shimmering tussar santhal saree with Konark Chakra in the pallu is a special weave and can be worn during exclusive occasions. For pattachitra handpainted items, please iron only on backside. Otherwise use a cotton cloth on top of the painted parts while ironing.
