Utkalamrita Shines at the First-Ever Bhubaneswar Times Fashion Week

Utkalamrita Shines at the First-Ever Bhubaneswar Times Fashion Week

Our hearts are filled with gratitude as we unveil our showcase at the prestigious first-ever Bhubaneswar Times Fashion Week, held on 15 November 2025. Our collection “Manabasa Gurubar – An Ode to Maa Mahalakshmi” was unveiled to honour the Margasira tradition dedicated to the Goddess of Prosperity.

Brand Utkalamrita presented a culturally rich collection inspired by traditional motifs, including the shankha, paada, padma, elephant, deepa, and swastika. The runway display featured 10 GI-tagged sarees from Odisha’s finest weaving traditions, including Berhampuri, Sambalpuri, Khandua, Gopalpur Tussar, Pattachitra textiles, Bomkai, and more.

Complementing the sarees were Indo-Western garments in Gopalpur Tussar with Mahalakshmi-themed embroidery, along with unique pieces such as a Sufi jacket, a silk kaftan, and an evening gown. The men’s range celebrated Lakshmi–Narayana twinning with coordinated sherwanis, silk shirts, Pattachitra jackets, kurtas, and smart bottom-wear. Accessories crafted from Sambalpuri Bandha fabric and a beautifully curated Manabasa Puja installation added depth to the theme.
